Dear Mom,
I’ve been trying to figure out what to do for mother’s day for you this year since we’re 3000 miles apart, and a custom website felt like the right way to do it.
There was never anything better than your turkey ragu. It was always the best day when I knew that was what we were having for dinner. When I started baking, making surprise cakes for you and Dad to find in the fridge - even though they weren’t great - I think it was inspired by you. Baking felt like cooking with precision, but the instinct to make something good for other people definitely started with watching you. And yes, I kept the kitchen clean. I know that matters.
You have always been the first person to believe in me in everything I do. That has mattered more than I can really explain. Especially this last year, with internship recruitment and everything that came with it, your support made success feel possible in moments when it otherwise would have felt like a much steeper climb. You have a way of connecting people, opening doors, and helping me move forward without ever making it feel forced. You are the bridge that has always enabled me to be the best I can be.
And then there are our conversations, which are some of my favorite parts of knowing you. Whether it is a new side project, a SCOTUS case, a new technology, or some random school assignment, you are always there to talk about it with me. I love that our conversations can move so easily between serious and funny, practical and ambitious, niche and big-picture.
I made this because I wanted you to feel how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me, and how I would be half of what I am today without you as my Mom. Happy Mother’s Day <3
